Steamed Chicken With Herbs


1 chicken thigh

10g sliced codonopsis (dang shen)

10g wolfberry

some shredded ginger

some chopped spring onions

some coriander


dash of salt

dash of pepper


some hua diao wine

some light soy sauce

some sugar


1) Rinse and drain the chicken thigh. Cut it into small pieces. Rub well with marinade and set aside for 30 minutes.

2) Place the marinated chicken onto a plate and add codonopsis, wolfberry, ginger and seasonings. Transfer to a steamer and steam for 40 minutes over high heat. Remove and scatter over spring onions and coriander before serving.
