Nettles are said to help purify the blood - they're certainly rich in iron - and consuming them with fruits such as pineapple and lemon that contain Vitamin C helps the body to absorb this important mineral.

100g/3.5 oz nettle leaves, rinsed and blanched
1 apple, cored and roughly chopped
1 lemon, peeled and roughly chopped
2 stoned dates, quartered
1/4 tsp dried ginger
100ml/3.5 fl oz orange juice
450g/1 lb fresh pineapple, peeled and cored
100ml/3.5 fl oz soya yogurt
30g/1 oz rolled oats
1) To make the nettle layer, put all the ingredients into a blendder and blend until smooth. Transfer to a jug and rinse the blender goblet.
2) To make the pineapple layer, chop the pineapple into bite-sized pieces. Place in the blender, add the yogurt and oats and blend until smooth.
3) Layer the two mixtures in two large glasses and serve immediately.
